Police on Friday arrested two hackers believed to have stolen more than five million baht from bank accounts for donations to help flood victims.
Rungroj Maddeen, 31, and Marisa Ranjuanjit, 25,铁丝, were arrested in Nakhon Si Thammarat province.
Police said they were caught stealing money donated through television and radio programmes, the police said.
Workpoint Entertainment, a Thailand-based media entertainment company, previously reported to the police that hackers broke into its system to steal the donated money.
The police believed financial information from more than 10 media programmes had been hacked by the suspects.

Originally designed for use on beaches and marshes for erosion and flood control, the Hesco Bastion quickly became a popular security device in the 1990s.
Assembly
Assembling the Hesco Bastion entails unfolding it and (if available) using a front end loader to fill it with sand, dirt or gravel. The placement of the barrier is generally very similar to the placement of a sandbag barrier or earth berm except that room must generally be allowed for the equipment used to fill the barrier. The main advantage of Military Barrier, strongly contributing to their popularity with troops and flood fighters, is the quick and easy setup. Previously, the BMA postponed the reopening of schools under its jurisdiction from Dec 1 to Dec 6 or later because of the flooding in the capital.

Mrs Taya said many schools in 10 districts of the capital,metal etch, such as Sai Mai, Bang Bon, Don Muang and Lak Si, remain flooded.
The reopening of 91 schools run by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has been postponed from Dec 6 to Dec 13 due to high flood levels, Bangkok deputy governor Taya Teepsuwan said Wednesday.
The schools that will reopen on Dec 6 will have five-hour classes every Saturday between Dec 10 and March 3,field fences, she said.
As for the schools that will resume classes on Dec 13, there will be five-hour classes every Saturday from Dec 10 to March 3 and every Sunday from Dec 18 to Jan 15.
Following the reopening, studying hours on weekdays will be also extended from 3pm to 4pm until Feb 27 next year due to the postponement, the deputy governor added.

Flood prevention the easy way
Water flows from high areas to low. In the case of a major flood, this process can be slow and massively destructive or, according a group of Thai technical experts, it can be quick and relatively painless.
The Thailand Underground and Tunnelling Group has suggested the government invest around 200 billion baht to build a 100km-long tunnel under the eastern section of the outer ring road to prevent future flooding in and around the capital.
Suchatvee Suwansawat, TUTG chairman, yesterday said the proposed tunnel should be built from Bang Pa-in in Ayutthaya to Samut Prakan province where the water would empty into the Gulf of Thailand. It could be completed in two years.
The tunnel would be designed as a double-deck underground structure, called a multi-service flood tunnel system, and would also be equipped with hydropower generators for power production,龟甲型钢板网, Assoc Prof Suchatvee said.
The upper deck would be used as a road under normal conditions when there were no floods or during minor and moderate flooding.
The lower deck would be used as a flood drain during normal situations.
During major floods, the upper deck would be closed to traffic and turned into a floodway to help speed up drainage of run-off.
Assoc Prof Suchatvee said a similar system should also be considered for the western part of Bangkok.
Large tunnels would be practical, more effective and thus the best solution to prevent major flooding over the long run.
Prasong Tarachai, former president of the Engineering Institute of Thailand said the underground flood prevention tunnel system should be built from Nakhon Sawan.
He also suggested integrating 20 state agencies involved in the water management system and creating a more accurate water information system.
"City planning should be revised to include floodways," he said.

Dutch twilled weave: Each warp wire and each weft wire passes over and under the next two adjacent complementary wires,Galvanized Iron Wire-Galvanized Wire, as in a normal Twill Weave, except the warp wires are larger in diameter than the weft wires. This allows a greater mesh count in the weft direction.
